Opening and Honouring Concert : Chris Berry, Tubby Love & Amber Lily, Franko Heke, Opening Ceremony with Delta Kay and prayer with cultures across the planet including Keshira haLev Fife
Byron Spirit Festival is thrilled to present an array of international and Australian musicians and ceremonial masters that live and give connection via their especial musical gifts.  On our Wish List for years,
We feel that these artists will undoubtedly fulfill our aim of  emancipating our community  through their blissful sounds and rousing rhythms .

At long last, Chris Berry (USA) mighty rhythm master, Shona (Zimbabwe) initiate, insanely eclectic composer, singer, dancer, multi-instrumentalist virtuoso (especially djembe and mbira), master teacher and ceremonial leader, will grace our stage on Opening Night.  He’s promised a full drumming line up so be ready to have your body rhythms permanently altered.

He’ll be joined by the divine duo of Tubby Love & Amber Lily, from Hawaii, to share  conscious lyrics and contagious melodies in their soul-stirring live show.

Kiwi Franko Heke’s fabulous fusion blends electronica and kirtan with dazzling multi-cultural influences including his native Maori and Sanskrit languages.

The Welcome to Country will be lead by Aunty Delta Kaye and the local Arakwal dancers!

The night will be interspersed with prayer and ceremony from across the planet.

Including Keshira haLev Fyfe:
Slow Down is a prayer song which takes a traditional Hebrew tune and enlivens it with English words (written by Kohenet Cedar Ranney). It is an example of how we can hold what is traditional and pour present moment resonance into it. The magic that is created can make its way into our ears, bodies and hearts as we settle into Shabbat (and our sacred festival time together)...
